Huge River Island Haul! | December 2013

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! I apologize for the sheer lack of posts this month, as there's been the crazy Christmas hectic schedule, and not only that, I was silly and left my DSLR Camera up in Newcastle (uni). However, next week I shall have it back and will (fingers crossed) be blogging more frequently like I used to! Anyway, today I've got a Youtube video for you guys - it's my HUGE River Island Haul. As you may all know, I absolutely LOVE River Island (and I'm not being biased just because I work there!). I hope you enjoy it, and please don't forget to 'thumbs up' if you liked it, and Subscribe!! Thank you.

You can check out what I bought from www.riverisland.com
What do you guys think to what I purchased?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love, Hannah xoxo

Christmas Outfit! | Favourite Purchase Of December

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! I wanted to share with you my most favourite purchase of the month. That is, these GORGEOUS embellished, sparkly shorts from River Island. I feel really lucky to actually get my hands on this, as it almost sold out immediately. I only managed to get it as I work there, and staff are allowed to put items on hold for the day. Yippee! It was £40, however it recently went down to a promo price of £25 - amazing! I think these beautiful shorts are just perfect to pair with some warm tights and boots, perfect for Christmas Day or even New Years Eve.

I actually wore these shorts on a night out with the Fashion girls from my Uni Course, and everyone actually complimented them! That shows something eh?! I can fully say that I'm absolutely in love with them, and totally glad that I bought them, a definite good purchase! I really like how it isn't just plain black beads and sequins, it has a subtle mixture of blue and black - and it looks really lovely together. Not only that, they're also slightly high-waisted, which I love as it makes them comfier and hugs your figure in all the right places.

closer look at the detail of the shorts

Here are a few images of me wearing them!

shameless selfies with a bottle of rose! haha

I can't see it online anymore, however it should still be available in store whilst stocks last. These gorgeous embellished shorts with beads and sequins are £25 if you get your hands on them! As I said, PERFECT for Christmas Day or New Years Eve. I paired the shorts with a simple black, slouchy top. As there was so much going on, on the bottom half of what I was wearing, I needed to make it plain and pull it all together on top. Hence the plain black top! I also added my watch from BornPretty.com, and a few odd rings from none other than good old Primark.

What do you think to these shorts?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love, Hannah xoxo

University Work | Fashion Installation

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Today I've opted for a different kind of post from my usual fashion/beauty side of things. Seeing as i've been frequently apologizing over the last couple of months due to the sheer amount of Uni work that i've had, I thought why not share a small part of that with you guys!
One of my courses 'modules' is to create a fashion installation, and decide where you would have it, and what the visitor experience of that particular installation would be like. Not only that, you had to choose from a list of brands, from Chanel, Lego, Levis, and more. I decided to challenge myself a little bit, and so I went with Barbie. I then went on to create my completely original idea of a Barbie Installation. I almost knew what I wanted to do immediately, and after a lot of thought process and planning, this is what I came up with.

I liked the idea of mixing physical barbies, with digital print together - instead of using barbie heads on the corset area. I think this gave off a much, much better effect. Poundland Barbie's are a lifesaver! ;)

I also used a measuring tape from the local town market in Newcastle for around 50p, which wasn't bad at all really. This completed the look of my 'Barbie Mannequin', as it acted as the belt around the waistline. My general idea was all about the Controversy of Barbie, and how it has changed over time with its proportions of the doll and how it has been altered and developed.

What do you guys think to my Barbie Installation?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo

Christmas Stocking Fillers Under £15

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Apologies for the lack in posts, I've been absolutely overloaded with uni work, but now i'm home for Christmas and have some free time to post! Yay! Today's post will be the Christmas Stocking Fillers for Under £15 - for him and her! (phew, that was a mouthful). It's just a cheap and easy way to top up gifts for someone, be it your girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, husband, mum, dad, sister or brother. I will be picking out my favourite, and ultimate stores for Christmas shopping, especially in terms of gifts for under £15. This can be anything from chocolate, a personalized gift or socks. The possibilities endless!

TKMAXX

Brilliant one for Christmas, or any other time of the year for that matter. TKMaxx offers great gift ideas for both him and her, offering a wide variety of products, such as fun jokey stuff, branded items, and much more. They also offer gifts sectioned into different budgets, with gifts under £10, under £20 and over £20. Below I picked out an item each from TK, for Him and Her.

EcoTools Brushes Kit - £4.99. That is AMAZING. My mum actually bought this today with me, the reason why the price in TKmaxx is ridicuously good, is that usually Ecotools costs about £10-15. Crazy! But it also makes a fabulous gift for your misses stocking. I know I would love something like this!

Calvin Klein Boxers - £8.99.  Calvin Klein boxers. You can't really go wrong with a gift like this can you? Every man loves a good pair of undies, especially when it's these bad boys! I bought my boyfriend a pair last year for Christmas, and he absoluetly loved the idea. In his own words, he said "I love getting gifts like these, because people forget the basics that I need, and as a guy I can't be bothered shopping for stuff like that". Men eh! This is why Men's underwear is a good idea, you can also choose from Giorgio Armani, Pringle, Tommy Hilfiger, Ted Baker and more at TkMaxx.

SUPERDRUG/BOOTS

Ted Baker W EDT 75mlFerrari Red 75ml EDT & 150ml Shower Gel Gift Set

Ted Baker Eau De Toilette For Her - £10.00.  Everyone fancies a bit of Ted Baker. At Superdrug (and I also think Boots) you can bag your loved one just that, in the form of a lovely perfume for just £10. Absolustely bargain if you ask me, to say it's a Ted Baker brand. It's classy, smells good, and is the perfect size and budget to pop into their stocking. A lovely little gift to wake up to on Christmas morning.

Ferrari Red Gift Set - £13.00.  Does your fella love a bit of F1? Then he'll probably love this Gift Set from Ferrari Red. It's a simple, yet effective gift to just pop into his stocking. It's of course, wearable for everyday use and to just lather on in the shower. Of course, it smells good too!

NOT ON THE HIGHSTREET.COM

www.notonthehighstreet.com is the perfect website to look at if you want to give someone special, a lovely and personalized gift at Christmas. They specialize in a wide variety of diverse products to suit everyone's tastes, and it's bound to go down a treat when opened on Christmas day.

Navy Blue Pansy Initial NecklacePersonalised Camera Notebook

Personalised Vintage Style Initial Necklace - £12. If you're struggling for Christmas stocking filler ideas, then look no further than this little beauty. You can't get much more personal than an initial necklace.

Personalised Notebook - £9.  Perfect for Unisex, it's a great gift idea for those that are in School, University or even at work just to jot down notes and ideas.

Other great websites and shops would include BuyaGift.com, Argos, Poundland and more. You'd fine pretty good Christmas Stocking Fillers in there, especially for under £15 and those generally on a low-budget.

What do you guys think to my quick Christmas Stocking Fillers Guide?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo

November Wishlist!

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Hope you're all well. I know I am after a cheeky spot of retail therapy! (new post on that soon!) but today's post, is a wishlist. Yes, I am ever-lusting after more items of clothing or beauty products. I just can't help myself! Hopefully you may find some inspiration from my November Wishlist too. You can see what i'm drooling over below!

november wishlist

YSL Youth Liberator Foundation - £37
Benefit's Watts Up! Highlighter - £20
Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette - $57
Topshop Jewelled Jumper x2 - £46
River Island Suitcase - £65
River Island Weekend Bag - £55
Matches Fashion Beanie hat - £165
River Island leather/fur coat - £80

All these items are so beautiful and versatile, you could get so much wear out of them all which makes the hefty price tag's all so worth while! The reason why my wishlist is also heavily River Island orientated, is simply because I work there. And I see pretty clothes and accessories all day long. Which makes me want everything! Never good. Only downside of working in a fashion store. As for the Topshop jumpers? Who doesn't love a bit of sequins and sparkle on it? I ridiculously LOVE these, but i'm not too keen on the price. Maybe a cheeky christmas present?! Last but not least, the YSL Youth Liberator foundation. Newest raved about foundation on the market. I've tried it out a few times now as samples, and I must say, I adore it. Plus, Benefit's 'Watts up!' highlighter and the Marc Jacobs Lolita palette would look perfect with it too ;)

Let me know what you guys think!
Would you buy any of these?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love, Hannah xoxo

Happy 1st Birthday to Trust In Vogue!

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Today marks a very special day in my blogging calender. Today is the day that I created Trustinvogue.com, and since then it's gone in leaps and bounds. I've gained followers, had the opportunity to review various products and best of all - my little blog got nominated out of 43,000 entries in the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards for the Best Newcomer category! You could say, it's been a pretty good year. I just wanted to say Thank You. Thank you to all my followers and everyone who generally reads Trust in Vogue. Without you all, I wouldn't of been able to achieve the things that I have.

Lots of Love,

Hannah xoxo

BornPretty Watch Review

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Apologies for the delay in posting, I have been well and truly bombarded with uni work, contracted the flu and tried to keep an ongoing social life. It's fair to say my blogging has suffered - and this NEVER happens. So, apologies over and done with, I have a review for you all! Bornpretty (BornPrettyStore.com) contacted me a few weeks ago, asking me to review one of their watches. Now, I already own my precious Guess watch that my boyfriend kindly purchased me last Christmas - yet, unfortunately it doesn't obtain any numbers. I'm one of those people that needs numbers on a watch to read it properly - I can't estimate! Therefore, when this opportunity to pick a watch from their range cropped up, I couldn't resist choosing one with massive jewel encrusted numbers on to tell the time. When i'm dashing about Uni or at Work, I can easily just check it without having to squint at minuscule numbers or estimate because there aren't any. This is the watch I chose:

The watch is a 'Weicai' Quartz make, and I personally love the style of it. The rose-gold watch face really adds to it's beauty, and I just generally love a good old massive watch. The straps are of course, adjustable with holes to fit your wrist size, and the straps come in red, brown and black. I decided to be different and go for the black, because of the Winter hues and tones. Although I wish I did go for the Brown, I'm not regretful as I already have my brown/gold Guess watch and I wanted something different. The only negative thing I would have to say about the watch, is that the strap looks a little shiny, and you could say it has a 'plastic' look to it, but after getting used it and testing it out, It's literally barely noticeable. All the attention goes on it's beautiful face.

Out of the wide range choice that I had to chose a particular watch, this one definitely stood out to me. It looks so much more smarter, unique and expensive-looking. The stylish design of it is very modern, the rose-gold feel to it resembles that of a Michael Kors watch that everyone goes crazy for. Why not go for a cheaper, yet beautiful alternative?

You can see below the general size of the watch, it fits most people as I mentioned before. Plus, I've noticed that It's very comfortable to wear, which was a really nice surprise. The band material is leather, and the dimensions of the length is Approx: 22.8cm. and the width Approx: 1.9cm.Overall? I really like this watch. I enjoy wearing it. It's a beautiful, simple - yet effective - fashion statement. It really jazzes up an outfit and stands out, I've actually had a quite a few people point out to me that it looks 'so pretty' and 'where I got it from'. Which shows, it must be good!

You can purchase this watch and many other variations from www.bornprettystore.com
Or this particular watch here.

What do you think?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo

* I review all products sent to me in an honest and non-bias manner.

MAC's Ruby Woo | The Good and The Bad

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! So, I've been a pretty rubbish blogger lately, I know. I haven't posted hardly this month, due to the amount of uni work I've been given, however, I've found some time to write some more, so expect quite a few posts these next two weeks to make up for it! I will also be posting more Youtube videos soon, so please make sure you're subscribed!

OOTD | Grandma's 70th

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Hope you're all well. This is just a quick post about what I wore to my Grandma's 70th birthday party last Saturday. What i'm wearing is also actually a new addition to my wardrobe, so look out for the big haul coming up soon! I wanted to go casual, but a bit dressed up at the same time. Ever spent absolutely ages looking around loads of shops and can never find anything until you're not actually looking? Yeah. I had one of those days. That is, until I found this little beauty tucked away in H&M. For a bargain price of just £14.99, you can't go wrong really. I grabbed it straight away, as it seemed to be quite popular with only 2 left in my size - and I'm so glad I did.

Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2013

Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2013

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! I've got a rather exciting post for y'all today, and I have been meaning to write it for some time. However, Uni workload has taken over! No fear though, I'm getting back on track. First of all? AAAAAAHHH! I WENT TO THE COSMO BLOG AWARDS!!
(sorry, just had to let that out of my system). I just really want to thank all of you guys, my friends and family that made it all possible. Without you all, I wouldn't have been shortlisted out of 43,000 people.

The Ultimate Blackhead Killer?

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! I hope you're all well. I know I'm not! I'm still stuck with the dreaded freshers flu that you imminently catch, however, I'm starting to feel better so it's all good! But, I've found that 2 weeks into Uni life, has really made my skin suffer. Most likely due to the cheap junk food and all-nighters. The result? blackheads, dull looking skin and spots. Not a good look. Luckily, the lovely people over at StyleLux, sent me this brilliant '5-Pack Blackhead Killer'. I can honestly say now, it has done the trick. You can check it out here.

Lipstick of the Month | MAC Angel

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Hope you're all well, unlike myself! I'm just sitting in my pink, fluffy dressing gown nursing off my nasty freshers flu. What better way to spend the day blogging? I thought I would post a second time today, as I really need to catch up with my blogging - that and, I just couldn't RESIST telling you all about my new favourite lipstick. My 'September Lipstick' would have to be the infamous Angel by Mac. This is a baby pink colour, but also looks slightly nude. Let me tell you this, this lipstick is AMAZING. Not even joking. Last month I raved about Mac's 'Creme Cup', yet in comparsion - I think I might actually prefer Angel. Although, people would say that Creme Cup and Angel are really similar. However this particular lipstick is the perfect shade between pink and nude, without looking too baby pink like Creme Cup does. It suits the colour of your own lips, but adds a little extra oompf! Excuse the slightly scuffed packaging, as you can tell, it's already been really well loved.

RIHANNA FOR RIVER ISLAND | Is It Really Worth the Hype?

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! I'm currently experiencing the infamous 'freshers flu', by staying in bed and feeling pretty sorry for myself. However! I'm not going to let you guys down with my blogging! A topic I really want to discuss today, is the latest A/W Rihanna for River Island collection. The question is, is it really worth the hype?

DISCLAIMER:
I will state the good and the bad of this collection. I will not be bias or anything!!

Now, I'm not being ironic or anything, as I did previously do a post about her first collection back in Spring and I absolutely loved it, yet things have changed. The clothes? Just aren't that nice for the huge pricetag. No offense to all you RiRi fans out there, (I love her too!) but I'm just not feeling the style of this collection.
Once again, the designs tend to be either plain or simple prints, which of course, can work for a marketing point of view, and the customer can wear it time and time again. BUT, the dress below? I suppose it's alright if it rains and you want to stick it over your head. But from a fashion perspective? Hmm. Maybe if the colours stuck to monochrome black and white, take away the hood and leave that sexy slit up the side? Bingo! I just think it's too out there for the majority of people to wear. Especially for £60. Yeah, you read that correctly. However, I do know that the quality of the fabrics are really good and don't go all horrible in the wash.

Now don't get me wrong. It's not just me that's criticizing the collection. I've actually asked numerous people what they thought of it, as well as working for River Island myself - all the employees think the same thing.  Of course, I don't want to be too negative, hence why I'll say some good points about the product such as the slit reaching the thigh of the model in the dress above. .

G4LIFE Beano hat? Acceptable. Totally Unsexy underwear that I can only HOPE isn't supposed to be worn in public, not so much. In my opinion, I think the Rihanna collection should be more suitable for everyone with the essence of Rihanna, but not just her own taste. Does that even make any sense? Like, who in their right mind (unless they're some sort of modern MC Hammer) wear those  leather trousers? Well, in my personal opinion anyway! Especially for £120. That's just plain crazy! Celebrity endorsed or not.

However, No fear! it's not all bad. I do actually like a few items from her collection that aren't too out there, and aren't too expensive for what it is. For example, the oversized G4LIFE shirt dress is really cool and casual, which is both wearable and to Rihanna's own taste. It's said to be inspired by her 'court-side' style, and this black jersey material, shirt dress is this season's sporty-off-duty trend. Not only that, it doesn't cost a billion pounds - just a middle of the road £40. Thumbs up Ri!!

What do you think to the Rihanna for River Island AW Collection?
Is it just me who thinks the majority of the products aren't as great as the last collection?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love, Hannah xoxo
