Mini Beauty Wishlist

Hellllo m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! My most sincere apologies for not posting in a while, i've actually been so preoccupied with exams, events and being blooming ill (typical!) that I haven't had the chance to post. But seeing as i'm feeling a little better today, I thought i'd do one for you all.

1. First up, is the Urban Decay Oz the Great & Powerful 'Theodora' Palette. IN LOVE. I need this in my life, I currently only have the Naked 2 palette, and Urban Decay is my favvv makeup brand, but at a hefty £35 it's a bit on the expensive side! However, it is limited edition, and it is Urban Decay! I can see myself using the red lip pencil quite a fair amount, especially the eye shadows as they're fairly neutral based colours to wear on both a daily basis as well as the occasional night out. Urban Decay are also well known for their super pigmented eye shadow, so I'm sure this palette is amazing. Fingers crossed I can purchase this soon!

2. I actually bought my first ever Revlon product - que the squeaks of shock! - that was the kissable balm stain which i absolutely loved. I'm really liking Revlon, and I SO want to try out the Revlon Photoready blushes, the colours look so pigmented and beautiful. They're the same price as the Kissable balm stain, retailing at £7.99.

3. The next product that I'm dying to buy at some point, is the glamorous Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer Highlighter, which you place just above your cheekbones, under the arch of your brow or even in the corners of your eyes. I actually have this product and the foundation as a tester, and I'll share what it looks like and more in full detail soon.
 Fluid Sheer

4. After purchasing the Diorskin Forever foundation I immediately wished that I got the luxury of the Chanel brand for the same price tag. However I don't regret my decision, and hopefully i'll be getting this one when I have the money! This is the Vitalumiere Aqua liquid foundation by Chanel. Perfection in a bottle for £32.

5. Last but not least, yep - it's another foundation! I really really want to try out a NARS product, as I actually haven't purchased anything from there yet. However, first on my list is the Nars Sheer Glow foundation in possibly 'Mont Blanc' as it's pale, but has a pinky finish to it so it wouldn't look ghostly white if that makes sense! Nars Sheer Glow foundation retails for around £30.50

What do you guys think to any of the above products?
Have you tried any of them?
Let me know!:)

Huge Collective Beauty Haul!

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! As from now i'll be posting less frequently as usual due to my final exams popping up till the 13th June. However, after then, I shall be free to blog virtually all the time! So, please bare with me during this time. On a brighter note, today I've got a collective beauty haul for you all, ranging everything from hair to makeup. It's not overly massive like other more famous beauty bloggers out there, but I thought i'd share it with you all anyway!

Here are my MUA lipsticks, ranging from a sultry red to pale nudes for an everyday look. They're super pigmented, and last a good few hours on the lips which is always a bonus. For just £1.00 from Superdrug (each) you can't go wrong!

They vary from Shade 11, 9, 14, 12, 13.

Next up is another MUA product! That are the latest craze, MUA nail polish in these beautiful pastel colours and a deep red. I couldn't resist buying them all, especially when they're just a £1.00! Not only that, Superdrug have recently had a '3 for 2' offer on, so that just encouraged me even more!

I also purchased the above translucent pressed powder from NYC Cosmetics, for about £1.99. However, i'm not overly impressed with it - it does the job - but next time I think I may buy the hyped up 'Rimmel Stay Matte' pressed powder.

For my hair I purchased these two items. This large Batiste dry shampoo (which is a blooming MIRACLE WORKER by the way!) cost me about £4.38 from Wilkinsons, but I think it's on offer at the moment for just £3.15. Then, I couldn't resist to finally trying out the Aussie haircare products, in which I bought the 'Miracle Shine Shampoo'  and the 'Miracle Moist Conditioner' for dry hair. So far? I'm really impressed with the Aussie stuff, it's made my hair really shine and feel much more smoother. Thumbs up Aussie!

Next, I purchased the famous 'Real Techniques' brushes in the 'Core Collection' set! I absolutely LOVE these, they're so beautifully soft and work a wonder when applying foundation, powder and blushes. I bought them for just £16.00 from Amazon. Perfection.

Next up, is the MUA 'Power Pout' which is absolutely love just to quickly swipe on during the day. I got them in 'Broken Hearted' (which is the deep pink colour) and 'Rendezvous' (nude/pink colour) which are, in my opinion, the best ones. They're really pigmented - alike to the MUA lipsticks - and super cheap too, for just £3.00.

Below is my trusty L'oreal True Match foundation for £10.99 from Boots/Superdrug. Let me get this straight. This is, without a doubt, the BEST foundation i've ever tried and come across on the high-street. It's so good, it doesn't cling to any dry skin, it lasts quite long throughout the day and it's really well matched to my skin tone in 'rose ivory' which is the second lightest shade.

On the other hand, I also bought the Diorskin Forever foundation for a mighty £28.80 (when it was 10% off at Debenhams!) and I do really like this product, my only problem is the shade which is a little too dark for me, and I did get the lightest shade. However, it's DIOR!:) You can read my full review of the Diorskin Forever Foundation here.

Last but not least, is probably one of the most famous beauty products in the beauty blogging world! Yes, that's right. The Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer for just £4.15. I'm so glad I bought this, it's really made a difference when applying makeup to my face, covering up red blemishes and dark under-eye circles discreetly. I would seriously recommend this product, especially seeing as it's from the high-street.

What do you think to any of these products?
Have you tried them before?
Let me know!

PS: Please don't forget to vote for blog in the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2013 for 'Best Newcomer!' As the competiton closes next week I think, I would LOVE for you all to support me if you enjoy my blog - it would mean a lot! Anyway, enough of me blabbing on!
and you just enter your email, and my URL which is: www.trustinvogue.com
Thank you so much!

Rihanna's Summer Collection for River Island

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and Newbies! We've all heard/experienced/wanted/NEEDED some of Rihanna's new clothing line exclusively for River Island. For those of you that loved it, you'll be keen to know more! For those that weren't entirely sure such as myself, then don't be put off!
I decided to take a sneakpeak at the RiRi section on the River Island website, which allows you to see a preview of the clothing before it goes on sale in 4 days time (May 25th).

When I looked at the images as a whole, I saw a bunch of pastel colours and denim on trend designs. Sound promising? here are the images for you to see!:

Who knew RiRi could be so girly?! This is my FAVOURITE section of clothing, I love the colours because they're just so wearable, especially at this time of year. The River Island team and Rihanna have been quite clever with this as well, because there's nothing TOO unusual or outrageous because they want to reach a larger audience/demographic. Hence, why all the clothing are simple staples needed in any girls wardrobe, such as the cute cami top or the classic denim jacket. I think I definitely need those shoes in my wardrobe though!

But Rihanna has still kept her raunchy style with the fishnet esembles and hot red pieces. I'm not too keen on the fishnet stuff and the shirt attached to the skirt, as I didn't like that when Rihanna first launched her line for River Island. However, i'm loving the red pieces, especially the shirts!

Last but not least, the design team and RiRi herself included some print design on some of the garments, which features plenty of washed out tie-dye and on trend monochrome floral prints. She stated, that she wanted to use floral prints because they're "timeless and feminine, but I still wanted them to look gangster". Pretty impressive in comparison to the other previous launch - and you've got to admit, those floral flimsy shorts are to die for! Well, not literally - but you know what I mean! Hopefully they've decreased the prices from last time - as everything was SO expensive! However I doubt it due to the global scale and hardcore RiRi fans that went insane for it! Ah well, bring on the empty pockets!

You can check out Rihanna's involvement with the line from behind the scenes in this exclusive video from River Island!

What do you think to her new Summer range?
Leave me a comment, or you can hashtag #rihannaforriverisland to express your thoughts!
Let me know:)

The Rihanna for River Island summer collection hits River Island stores and online from May 25th.

OOTD - Trust in Vogue Top!!

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Today's going to be another 'outfit of the day' post, due to everyone's excuse this time of year - exams! However, it's a little different this OOTD, because of my top! Yup, a top that's, well, similar to my blog name, Trust in Vogue!! :D
Well, technically it's 'in vogue we trust' but it's still the same thing ;)
I bought this crop top from a Republic sale for just £5.00. Although it was a large size, and there was makeup marks and all-sorts on it, but a quick wash and it's good to go!

Here's a full shot of my outfit. I'ts just kinda something simple, jeans , white tee paired with some classic converse, as I wasn't doing much today. However, I added a floral crown to my bun style hair of the day, which added a lil' oomph to it!
I'm so in love with this one, as the flowers look SO pretty and I really like the baby pink colour. This was purchased from (believe it or not) Primark! for just £2.50

Here's a couple of shots with my adorable dog, Luna.

 Floral Crown: Primark // £2.50
Necklace: H Samuel //£34.99
Bracelet: Topshop // ?
Ring: Pandora // £40.00
Top: Republic // £5.00
Jeans: New Look // £15.00
Shoes: Converse // £45.00

I hope you enjoyed my OOTD post!
What do you think?
Let me know!:)

Diorskin Forever Foundation

Hello m'fellow Trustinvoguers and newbies! Today is a little unusual to my usual high-street beauty and clothing hauls. I've been rather naughty and gone and splurged out on some lovely Dior! Although, I did need some high-end luxury in my life! It was between buying that, or the Vitalumiere Aqua foundation from Chanel.

However, the Chanel staff at the counter were SO rude! They literally blanked me and gave me horrible looks, and when I did ask them about the lightest shade and the size of the bottle I was shocked. Get this, the TESTER SIZE. Yep, TESTER SIZE was the size of the flipping Chanel foundation bottle! I mean what the heck?

On the other hand, Dior were so polite with me, and the lady took all my makeup off and did it all up with the moisturizer, primer, foundation and concealer just to try it out beforehand, talking me through step-by-step. Not only that, the tester sizes again were small, and I asked if that were the size of the actual Dior foundation, she said "oh, no! they come at 30ml" RELIEF.
So, when I was trying to decide between Chanel and Dior, that was the deal-breaker for me. Getting more for your money! (as they were the same price). Maybe i'll treat myself to Chanel later on!

ANYWAY, back on to the beautiful Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation. Woah, bit of a mouthful! I really like this foundation, it has a satin finish and it's 'semi-matte' as the makeup artist explained to me. It's got quite a sheer glow to it, but I kind of wish I'd tried the 'Dior Nude' for a more dewy finish, nonetheless it's really nice.

My only issue with it that I got the 010 shade, which is the lightest one. However it still came up a little orangey on my skin, which is a little bit disappointing, but as I say, that's my only issue with it.
Other than that, it's a really good foundation - although it's a bit pricey! I purchased it for £28.80 from Debenhams - as they have 10% off at the minute till Sunday. However, it's usally £32.00 - bit steep!

But still really nice. It has a medium coverage, and you can build it up as you wish, but I find that putting the smallest amount on is really enough.  It also has an SPF factor 25 - which is quite impressive for a foundation. I really like the packaging, it's so sleek and the the CD icon on the top.

As you can see by the images, I had it on my skin all day due to the makeup artist applying it in the morning. I found it really hydrating, it blends seamlessly and has a really flawless finish. WIN!

I also got a Miss Dior perfume freebie, plus a personal invitation for an event! YAY:)
I do love a good freebie. Overall? Thumbs up Dior! Next on the list?
Chanel or Giorgio Armani foundation.

What do you think to the Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation?
Let me know!
