This Mac lipstick is a 'Frost' type, and what that does is basically give off some moisture and a slight shimmer to the overall colour. It's not glittery or really shiny, it's just the perfect blend of matte and gloss. Because of that slight sparkly/shimmer it has to it, when the light hits your lips it looks absolutely fabulous. A simple way to describe Angel, is that it's basically your own lips, but better.
As you can probably tell by the way it's worn down a little bit, I've been constantly non-stop wearing this beauty, who wouldn't?! In all honesty, I think it suits the majority of people, it's so easy to wear and adaptable for both night and day. However, the only down side to this, would be that after a few hours you would have to re-apply it, but that's the same with many other lipsticks out there. On the up side, it's so moisturizing, and doesn't dry up on my lips which is always a good sign. I'm also really loving the pigmentation of this product, the first swipe of it is really sheer, but you can actually build it up to the amount you want.
Below are just a few swatches of what Angel actually looks like on the skin. For some weird reason my hand looks really weird and discoloured! Not sure why, as it doesn't in reality! So just ignore that ;)
But as you can see, as I mentioned earlier it's the perfect mixture of a gloss and matte finish, that little shimmer really makes it. You can buy Angel from your local Mac counter in Debenhams or Harvey Nichols for £15. I would rate this product 4 out of 5. I would definitely recommend and I would re-purchase as I've been using it as an everyday lipstick.
What do you guys think to Mac's Angel Lipstick?
Do you love it as much as I do? Or do you even loathe it?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo

Hey thanks for following me ^_^ I've followed back and you have a great blog by the way :3 Emma xxx
ReplyDeleteI think it's a lovely colour, but because it's a Frost I need to layer it with a gloss otherwise I find it washes me out a little bit!
ReplyDeletePatisserie is my favourite MAC nude at the moment :)

It looks like such a lovely colour and I like the sound of the "frost" finish! I've been wanting to invest in a MAC lippie for a good while now and I think I'd like to get my hands on this one!
