MINI SEASIDE LOOKBOOK | SS14

Sometimes, we just need to escape. This week I took a trip to Scarborough with my family, just to take some time out from Uni and other general life stress. I find being by the sea is really calming, and just what I needed - to get some fresh salty air in my lungs! Whilst I was there, I decided to take the opportunity of the beautiful scenery, and of course, do an outfit of the day post for you all. It was surprisingly sunny and mildly warm to say it's early April in England. However, it made the day even better. Who doesn't love warm sunshine, fish n' chips and the British seaside?
my favourite companion

                                                                                           Mac Coat: River Island

Who doesn't love seaside treats?!

excuse my squinty face - the sun was blinding me!
My gorgeous pastel pink messenger bag is from sammydress.com

Necklace: Primark £4
Cream Embroidered Tunic Top: River Island £30

Peter Pan Cream Lace Dress: OMGFashion.com £18

When at the beach, of course you've got go barefoot and feel the sand crunch between your toes!

I was a little bit skeptical when purchasing this dress, as I don't usually tend to go for tight-fitting dresses - especially ones that are light. Being pale and blonde, I normally stay away from lighter colours that would wash me out. However, I was really pleased with this. As it's a cream colour rather than a dazzling white, it doesn't off balance my skin tone and make me look like a ghost! I have also been on a weight-loss regime, so the dress didn't feel to bad on - I love how it embraced my curves rather than showing them off in all the wrong places.

Luna's enjoying herself!

Especially when she soaked me through haha!

Towards the end of the day it got a little bit chilly, so I just hung my mac coat over my shoulders. The reason why I love a classic trench, is that they're so easily adaptable and just generally go with anything. This one is from River Island at £75.

What do you guys think to my 'Mini Seaside SS14 Lookbook?
Would you wear any of this?
As always, let me know what you think!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo
