Ever see something and instantaneously think, I NEED it? That all things were aligned perfectly in the universe to see that one special item of clothing in that moment in time? Ok, maybe a bit OTT... But that is exactly how I felt when I stumbled across this cold-shoulder beauty on the River Island website. For the very reasonable price of £25, you can't exactly go wrong. I've always been on the search for a cut out dress with a '90s vibe. Motel rocks offer some pretty similar styles, however I didn't see anything that I fell in love with. This particular cold shoulder, t-shirt style dress was a tricky one to track down. But I finally managed to get my hands on it, and i'ts time to share it with you guys!

When I say this was tricky to get hold of, I mean it was T.R.I.C.K.Y. Tricky as in there was only one left in the entire country. Mental. For nearly a month I would check the website almost religiously to see if it would be in stock within my local store that I work for, (as I would get a cheeky staff discount!) however it never came. Instead, the popular tie-dye version was stocked high which is similar and that you can see here. So, off to Cambridge I went! No, I didn't all the way from Newcastle to Cambridge just to get this dress (although I might have considered it) I was visiting in the area luckily anyway.
The print on the dress is described as a 'grey splatter' which looks like paint has literally been splattered all across it. Fabulous. I also love how it's a swing dress, as my body shape doesn't suit tight bodycons very well, It's great to find such a dress that's both flexible and flattering. The cut out shoulder is also the key element, showing off a bit of skin is sultry yet not too revealing. The material is also 100% cotton, so it's ultra comfortable and easily adaptable for all seasons of the year.
I teamed the look with my trusty black Chelsea boots from Missguided.
What do you think to my OOTD?
As always, let me know!
Lots of Love,
Hannah xoxo
