Florals, Fedoras and Frocks. Well, play-suits - but I needed another fashion word beginning with F. So It's close enough! Disclaimer. I'm not the skinniest of girls and I seem to resemble a milk bottle. But oh, well! I spotted this bright, floral number in Miss Selfridge, and I immediately pictured lots of ways to style it, be it dressed up or down. You could go for a chilled out vibe with converse/vans and a denim jacket, or vice versa with a blazer and heels. I decided to go mid-way, by pairing it with my trusty black leather jacket from Zara, and white court heels from New Look. The floppy fedora hat. My newest obsession, and must-have buy. It's a key stylish statement for an uptown girl living in a countryside, erm, world?
I really like this look, it's fun and quirky with the water-colour floral effect going on. The pop of colours overall - for me - brings out the outfit against the black hat and black leather jacket. I didn't want to go black all over however, therefore I added the white court heels, (seen here) from New Look to lighten everything up a little bit more.
The black, floppy fedora hat is from Miss Selfridge, £28, which I bought along with the gorgeous playsuit. I was originally going to buy a similar one from Topshop for the exact same price, however, after much comparison, (and deliberation!) I found the one from Miss Selfridge to be of a higher quality. Therefore, the clear winner.
My leather jacket is old season from Zara (originally £40) but there are plenty of dupes in high-street retailers such as River Island and H&M. My over-sized sunglasses are Marc By Marc Jacobs (£104).
My beige/black colour block 'envelope' clutch is from New Look, at the bargain price of just £9.99 not including student discount! I couldn't find the exact match on the website, although I did find similar, just with different colours, here.
What do you think to this outfit?
Would you wear it?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
