WHAT'S IN MY MAKEUP BAG? | JUNE 2014

It has been quite a while since I've talked about something beauty-related, so I decided to do a classic topic - the 'What's in my makeup bag' post! (June Edition!) I took a trip to the York Designer Outlet a few weeks ago, and I picked up this cute Ted Baker makeup bag for just £14. Plus 20% student discount! Absolute bargain, I couldn't resist it for that price. Not only that, I also thought it would be the perfect excuse to talk about my latest makeup tools, as the contents have changed, as well as the bag that holds them....

MARC JACOBS GENIUS GEL FOUNDATION:

This is, by far, probably the BEST foundation I have ever used - and that's a statement! I did write a review on this particular foundation which you can see here. It's super light-weight and has just the right amount of coverage - perfect for the summer days. But one of my favourite things about this foundation is that it's super long-lasting, and their colour range for my skin tone is really great. I picked this up from a Sephora store in New York City for $48.

BENEFIT POREFESSIONAL:

Now I won't talk too much about this, as practically everyone in the beauty blogging world knows about it! The porefessional is fantastic for making your pores look less visible. It also works a treat as a primer, and I use it before I put my foundation on. The reason it looks so tiny is because I got this as a sample size in the latest Issue of ELLE Magazine! It usually tends to retail for around £24.50.

BENEFIT WATTS UP HIGHLIGHTER:

Possibly my favourite highlighter ever. It's a gorgeous champagne shimmery colour, and it really does do the trick perfectly. I use this on my cheekbones, a little bit on my nose and brow bone. This is a must product for me during the Summer! I find it lightens up your face and just makes you look healthier. You can purchase it here for £24.50.

COLLECTION 2000 LASTING PERFECTION CONCEALER:

The concealer of gods! Well, you know what I mean. This is also a favourite amongst the Blogosphere, mentioned in various blogs high and low. This little beauty retails for just £4.19, and I always go for the colour 'fair' for under my eyes and to cover up any redness on my face.

BOURJOIS CHOCOLATE BRONZER:

I haven't used this bronzer in a while, but I found it lurking within my makeup collection and I started to use it again - I love it. It has plenty of mixed reviews, But i find it gives me that perfect bronzed look without looking too patchy or fake. You can buy it here for £7.99.

REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES (CORE COLLECTION):

These brushes are part of the Real Techniques Core Collection, again, everyone has heard of the brand by now designed by the pixiwoo makeup gurus, and they certainly live up to their reputation. You can see them here, currently on sale for just £14.66! RRP: £20.99

RIMMEL LASH ACCELERATOR MASCARA:

I bought this mascara on a whim, I was looking for something different to my usual purchase of Maybelline's 'The Falsies', so I got this! Recommended by beauty Youtuber, FleurdeForce, I decided to just go for it -and it hasn't dissapointed. I love this mascara, it lengthens and adds general volume to my lashes without look to much/clumpy. You can see it here for £7.99.

RIHANNA FOR MAC BROW PENCIL:

Normally, I stick to using brow powder/eyeshadow to give my brows that soft, natural effect. I always used to shy away from brow pencils, as I thought they usually resembled girls that had drawn them on and it would put me off. However, after trying this brow pencil from the Rihanna for Mac range I was completely blown away at how they looked. I bought this from the Cosmetics Company Store for just £12.

What do you think to my Makeup Bag and It's contents?
Have you tried any of these products?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,

Hannah xoxo
