MONORCHOME STRIPES & RED WEDGES | QUIZ CLOTHING

I do love stripes and monochrome, so when Quiz Clothing kindly sent me this pleated skater dress, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I've noticed that Quiz have developed drastically over the past year and increased their blogger outreach - in turn, their clothing has become much more on trend, stylish and versatile. Whereas admittedly before, I never used to really go into a store until recently. This particular dress is a prime example of that. To me, it has a very '60s vintage vibe going on, so I went with that and added the red shoes and red lip (Bobbi Brown Red 10!) to really pull it all together. The contrasting red clashes perfectly with the black/cream stripes without looking too much. It's a great colour-blocking technique. Although, like with anything, it does have it's positives and negatives.....

To get the only slightly negative side out of the way, I personally don't think the style of this dress suits my body shape and it's not something I would normally go for, but I do love the overall design aesthetic. It was a little tight in areas such as the underarm (unflattering) but apart from that there was absolutely nothing wrong with this product at all.

On to the positives shall we?! First of all, it's a very affordable dress at just £26.99, perfect for those last minute nights out or invites to a special occasion. Throw on a black leather jacket and either a statement necklace or earrings (I wouldn't personally do both!) then you're ready to go. My necklace is from H Samuel which you can see here.

My red open-toe wedges are rather old and from eBay of all places! But I did find similar here and here. Overall? It is a pretty little dress that's great when you don't want to look too outrageous with lots of colour going on. If you're like me, and you're the type of girl that loves monochrome far too much - then a simple pop of colour (e.g. red shoes and red lips) does the trick to complete the look.

What do you think to this Quiz Clothing dress?
Would you wear it?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo
