GREY STYLING | H&M CHECKED SKIRT

This season I find one of the biggest trends to look out for, is grey. It's everywhere at the moment, from the catwalks to the high-street store merchandise. Some people think it looks dull and boring. But I disagree. It's how you style it and twist it up that matters. Whether it's a slightly different shade of grey (I'm not talking the book!) or a printed pattern. It's the little details that count, make a difference and change an outfit's overall aesthetic. With this particular outfit, I added accessories, pattern and slightly different shades all mixed together to create a trendy look that anyone can pull off....

AUTUMN LAYERING | PLAID RED SHIRT

I spotted this gorgeous red, plaid shirt the other day in H&M, and I instantly thought of Autumn/Winter, there's something about that pattern and the colours that just reminds me of colder days and the leaves turning brown. It's also a great item to use for layering, you could wear it with a black fur gilet, leather jacket or coat - the possibilities are endless. But, be careful not to use anything else with too much pattern going on, as it would then look quite distracting. Because there's so much going on with the shirt, I decided to keep the general look quite minimal and simple - hence the jeans and plain black, long-sleeved top.....

'BACK TO SCHOOL' WITH NEW LOOK | MY OLD UNIFORM

Bad hair, creased skirts and shameful boyish Gola bags. Oh, those were the school days. As embarrassing showing you what I looked like back in 2010 is, it is all educational, after all haha! The 'back to school' campaign is all about getting you guys to look more fashionable than I ever did. To be fair, my uniform wasn't nearly as bad as the neighboring schools with red fluorescent ties and maroon shapeless blazers (not pretty). Whereas, our School consisted of a simple navy attire, jumper with a white shirt underneath, and the choice of either navy trousers or pleated skirt for the girls. Of course, some opted for navy body-con skirts, which were for - the rebellious ones! - and were banned straight away. You can't really see much in these images, but my Mum would always try get me into the clumpy Clarks shoes, trying to reassure me how stable and functional they were. I remember that I would beg and beg for the pretty ballerina pumps from a 'proper high-street store'. Now, this is where New Look comes in to save your day.....

SEPTEMBER WISHLIST | RIVER ISLAND & TOPSHOP

Hi guys! Apologies for not posting as frequently as I normally do in the past week, it's been pretty hectic as I've moved back up to Newcastle to start my second year at University. So, unfortunately I just haven't had the time to post until now. But now I'm getting into a routine again, it should start to pick up! Sorting out your electric bill, starting a new job and getting ready for uni can be both a pretty stressful and chaotic time. So, of course, that means retail therapy. I've had my eyes on quite a few bits from Topshop & River Island......

ORGANZA WHITE SHIFT DRESS | LAUNDRY BOUTIQUE

I have been searching for the perfect LWD (little white dress) all Summer, and when Laundry Boutique kindly offered to review a piece of their clothing, I immediately opted for this number. Although it is now September (crazy!) I still feel like you can still wear this now on a night out or throughout the day - before Autumn truly settles in. The embroidery, transparent sleeves and detailing is so beautiful, and definitely so 'me'. It's one of those dresses that you can wear during the day with a blazer and handbag, or own it's own with a pair of white or nude heels. See how I styled it up....
