HOW TO: RE-FURBISH YOUR LAPTOP

For University, I very nearly bought a Mac-book pro, the retina display, clean design and all the other technical stuff that makes it, well, 'fast'....it's all very tempting - but it just wasn't within my budget. I couldn't justify spending that much money when I'm already happy with what I already have. So, I decided that my Acer windows laptop needed a re-boot to look more appealing to use. Both internal and design wise! I've had this laptop for a few years now, and felt it was starting to look a little rough around the edges. After doing some research, I stumbled across the perfect style. Me being me, I immediately lusted after the floral skins and matching cases to go with it....

LAST MINUTE EASY SKELETON MAKEUP | HALLOWEEN

Hi guys! So, I thought I would try my hand at something a little bit different and new. Halloween's fast approaching, and I wanted to try a few different looks before deciding on a final theme. One of the makeup looks that I enjoyed doing the most, was the skeleton one - as it's super easy for anyone to do, and it's achievable through just using cosmetic makeup alone - no need to go spending £10+ on a face-painting kit for one night! By the way, I am in NO WAY a pro, this is amateur at it's best and was rather rushed - I'm not a great artist in any shape or form, but hopefully this could help someone in a last minute rush to look Halloween ready.....

RIVER ISLAND AUTUMN WISHLIST | HIGH-STREET STYLE

As most of you will probably know by now, for years River Island has been my ultimate favourite high-street retail chain. I have always managed to find a thing (or two) that I've wanted at least every month, and this A/W '14 season has been no exception. From chunky cowl necks, tartan prints and cosy knitwear, River Island have been on point yet again this year, and this particular wishlist is just a narrowed down list from this month! I believe there's something to suit everyone's tastes, from basics to prints, to varied textures and accessories....

MINI PRIMARK HAUL | OCTOBER

Hi guys! Apologies for the lack of posting recently, Uni work has stepped it up a notch, so I've barely had the time to sit down with a nice hot chocolate and write a blog post. But, of course, I did find the time to pop into the local Primark! (oops) so I thought i'd share with you all what I picked up. I was feeling rather autumnal, and wanted little key pieces to use and wear to spruce up my everyday looks a little bit more. All of the items come together for just under £10, which i'm completely happy with, as I can use them most of the time....

TAKE A BITE OUT OF HALLOWEEN | ALLSAINTS GUEST POST

Ding dong, fashion isn’t dead. Instead, a spell has been cast on our pre-winter wardrobe and it’s turning the traditional horror themed costumes into outfits you could translate into seasonal pieces. Think Selene from Underworld, Twilight’s Bella and Stella from 30 Days of Night whose styles range from heavy duty leather boots to distressed jeans, laddered knitwear and ox blood coloured garments.
Halloween doesn’t have to mean dressing up in a costume you only wear once, be clever by mixing and matching key pieces on the day that would look equally as stylish on their own or toned down for a more casual look, no matter what day of the year. Whether you have plans to go out with friends at a local hot spot or you’re attending a dinner party, or even just have solid plans to put your feet up and tuck into some horror flicks, AllSaints have this year’s must have knitwear to bring together a look that is more snug and less chilling.....

PUT YOUR FEET UP

Opting for a film night in? What better way than to spend it lounging in a jumper dress and beanie hat. Tie the outfit together with a skinny leather belt at the waist and a chunky Roberto Cavalli necklace. If you need to pop out or need something to keep your toes toasty, make sure you’ve got a pair of low biker boots to hand.

GEORGE WISHLIST | ASDA COLLABORATION

Asda. You would immediately think of your regular food shop wouldn't you? However, it offers so much more than that. Within Asda, it has the 'George' clothing range - and I'm not just talking about the usual school uniform. Dresses, shoes, jackets, accessories - nearly everything you can think of. I'll be the first to admit that it's not my first thoughts to go shopping at a supermarket for clothes, I think of pasta and what sauce to have it with that night, rather than looking at the clothes section- and it's the same for you guys. However, when I actually went onto the website and checked out their current dress range I was quite impressed. Their clothing line is both affordable and stylish, which is right up my street. As a student, I need to think of the pennies(and the pasta of course)! There's plenty of choice to suit a wide variety of people's particular tastes, but all of the above are my picks that I really like, from a glitzy night-out dress on the town to a simple skater one for during the day. Keep on reading to see how I would style them up....

THE JESSICA LACE DRESS | SUGARHILL BOUTIQUE

First of all, apologies for not posting in a while, Uni has begun and I have caught the inevitable 'freshers flu' even though I'm an old second year now! I'm starting to feel better though, especially since receiving this gorgeous dress in the post. Sugarhill Boutique are definitely a new favourite brand of mine, and one that should be noticed. I have reviewed one of their products before, which you can see here - which I was super pleased with. However, this sultry red/ burgundy Jessica dress is on a whole other level. There's nothing that I love more than wearing red, as I just feel the colour goes well with blonde hair and it's perfect for night outs on the town or casual cocktails with the girls.....
