Last week I travelled down to London for the day, even though by time I got there I only had a few hours to kill, I had to check out the sights! This particular outfit is a new favourite of mine - it's a definite winter warmer for the colder days ahead. Texture, print and accessories all combined as a monochrome theme together work really well....
I went to Somerset House with my mum as my photographer (thanks mum! haha) and was completely blown away by how beautiful it is, as I never had the chance to visit until now. It was a rather brisk, chilly day, hence why I opted for the jumper, gilet and scarf! This particular scarf that I am wearing has been mentioned quite a lot in previous posts, I got it from Primark for just £4 - an absolute bargain.
I really like how relaxed yet smart the clothing together looks. The tailored cigarette dog-tooth trousers and casual knit jumper coincide quite well, and give off a really cool 'off-duty' vibe. The fitted trousers are from Topshop for £42, which you can see here, and the jumper is quite old, but it is from Missguided.co.uk - see similar version here.
My floppy felt fedora (lot of f's there!) black hat is from Topshop, I really like how it's unstructured and fits perfectly to my head - which I find difficult to find with hats, they're either too small or too big. I also like the added contrast band, it makes it look more fancy and luxurious. For £28, it's a great accessory to invest in - you can see it here.
My latest wardrobe addition and new A/W favourite is this black faux fur gilet from New Look, which you can see similar here for £39.99. It's this season's go-to layering piece, and it's great to take you from day-to-night.
My bag is from River Island last year, which was round £45 - you can see similar here.
My black mock-croc pointed loafers are from Dorothy Perkins in the sale, so are no longer unfortunately available.
My statement necklace is from Next, also unfortunately old season stock.
What do you think of my OOTD?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
