I never thought I could love a dress so much in life (other than my prom dress, and maybe one day my wedding dress) but this is just perfect. It's great to wear from day-to-night, the texture of it looks and feels expensive with how silky it is - and best of all - it's floral. It's got me written all over it! The lace-capped sleeves, smudged floral pattern - it's the perfect swing dress to throw on that will never go out. For £40, (see here) it's a must wardrobe investment....
I just love the detailing on this little dress, from the fine floral print, to the lace capped sleeves. It's just so well thought out and put together, it also fits perfectly to my body shape, which is a definite bonus.
As it's been pretty chilly in the UK right now, I like to wear this dress with a pair of thick tights and boots that come just below the knee. Therefore, it can become easily wearable though the colder, winter days. I'm in love with these long black, leather boots. I picked them up in the Zara sale on boxing day, reduced from £65.99 to just £39.99. Unfortunately they are no longer available online.
Close-up of the gorgeous floral pattern. My lovely gold watch is from Invicta which was a gift, can't seem to find it online but there are plenty of duplicates about. My gold hoop earrings are from none other than Primark!
Normally I would of paired this look off with a few other key accessories, such as my black floppy fedora hat, which has made many an appearance in it's time! However, unfortunately I've mvoved back up to Uni and I stupidly forgot it at home. So, I had to improvise! I simply did the half up, half down hair style, tied back simply with a huge black clip bow from Primark. These are readily available online - see similar here and here.
What do you think to this River Island dress?
Would you wear it?
As always, let me know!
