Stripes are back, and I just can't get enough of them. Nautical stripes, vertical stripes, colourful stripes - you name it! I am officially obsessed. I feel like stripes are also a great transitional print into the Spring season, easing you more into that little subtle bit of difference, be it with the sole print or a subtle colour change. I recently picked up this staple 'poplin' button up shirt from River Island, and I just couldn't wait to style it up and show you guys....
I wanted to base my outfit around the Poplin Blue Stripe shirt, (which you can see here for £28 from River Island) so I thought I would stick to plain and simpler colours, as to avoid any sort of clash with the print that is already going on.
I opted for a plain black tee, this is quite old but a favourite of mine as it's so comfortable and soft - it is from H&M, and there's plenty of similar ones available on the website.
I then, of course, had to use my favourite accessory of the moment - the camel fedora hat, which has been featured in my previous OOTD post, which is from Warehouse, which you can see here. Both camel and stripes are big right now, and I feel if you add the right amount in different ways to incorporate into an outfit, they can work well together.
My Mac coat is from none other than River Island, it is a couple of years old now, however you can see similar ones to this here. It's great how the hat beige shade differs from the tone of the hat, it just adds that little something extra to contrast against.
My navy fitted trousers are a new addition as well, as I bought them alongside the shirt. The bottoms are available here on the website for £35. I must say, I absolutely LOVE these. They fit me so well, are the most comfortable things ever, and actually make my legs look good. Bonus!
The clutch is years and years old from Accessorize, and my rings are from Primark.
What do you think to this outfit?
Would you wear it / own anything familar?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
