Another foodie post! I'm getting quite into these! Not my usual fashion/beauty orientated posts, but I do have a good love of food. So, when I took a trip to Leeds for dinner, I figured why not blog about it? I will be the first to admit that, yes, I am a fussy eater. Even though I like loads of different kinds of foods, I just can't seem to stray away from from my love of tasty Italian or a good hearty pub meal. But, I decided to be brave and try something new.... Mexican!
We made our way to Las Iguanas, just off the Corn Exchange in Leeds City Centre. The interiors didn't disappoint, dark and rustic, with bare wood walls and hanging lights from the ceiling, it really had that South American feel.
On to the food! For starters I had the Spicy Chicken Quesadilla. A Tortilla, folded, pan-fried & rammed with spicy chicken, peppers, onion & cheese, with tomato salsa on the side. This was SO nice, the picture really doesn't do it justice. I was fully surprised at how much I enjoyed this, to say that I'm not normally a huge fan of anything spicy. Thumbs up Las Iguanas!
For my main it was a bit 'typical me' but oh well! I had the classic beef burger with fries (oh so healthy, I know) It's described as a "Lightly spiced beef patty, in a toasted bun in a creamy
tomato & gherkin sauce. With beef tomato, baby gem
& caramelized onions". The chips tasted a little bland, but the burger itself was really filling and delicious.
Joe had the Albondigas - Patagonian lamb meatballs with apple, parmesan, mint
& a pinch of nutmeg. Braised in a rich tomato, mint & mild
red chilli sauce served with spring onion & garlic rice. Woah, mouthful! I had a taste of this, and I must say the meatballs were absolutely gorgeous.

As a franchise chain and somewhere to kick my habit of constantly going for an Italian, this has really been a pleasant dining experience.
Afterwards to end the evening, we then went for a cheeky drink or two at a couple of bars including the student classic Revolution. Who doesn't love a bit of 'Revs?! I had the mojito, of course.....

Have you ever been to Las Iguanas / Leeds?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo
