This time last year I fell in love with the colour grey and began styling it in different ways. It seems like that obsession has come back around yet again! I feel like grey is the perfect tone to phase out that Summer period, otherwise known as the awkward 'transitional stage'. But it's easy to make it work, by fading it down to grey before going for the much darker, plumy colours that we all love and know so well for Autumn....
I wanted to add simple and minimal jewellery to the overall look, as there's already subtle detail in parts of the clothing - such as this gorgeous metallic, sleeveless top from River Island, which has a hint of sparkly thread within it. These two necklaces act as a layered piece, and are from Warehouse.
As you can see, it has an asymmetric hem, and it's longer at the back, which makes it look really different and cool compared to a 'standard' top, along with cut out sides....
Check out these beauties! I absolutely adore these peep-toe booties, perfect for that little bit of extra glamour for your everyday look. I really like the detailing on them, it just makes them appear more stylish and sultry. These are from Mint Velvet. I couldn't seem to find these exact ones on the website, but I did find similar in black and a dark grey colour, here and here.
My little Luna wanted to get in on all the action!
I teamed the outfit with my fav trusty old leather jacket from Zara.
My little tote bag is my everyday essential, and is from Dorothy Perkins.
My favourite piece of the Summer by far, I picked up this beautiful real silver ring at the Portobello Road Market, and managed to whittle the price down to just £8! I need to go back there and gather more to my collection asap!
These jeans from Mint Velvet (similar here) are a wonder. I may or may not have 'borrowed' them from my mum (shh!) I love how shaping they are to my legs, the silver detailing zip and the light grey style went perfectly with the rest of the outfit.
What do you think to this outfit?
Would you wear it?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
