It's December. How on Earth is it the last month of 2016 already?! I don't know where this year has gone. However, as always, Winter is my favourite time of the year to style up some outfits. I like the darker colour palettes, feeling comfortable and layering in a stylish manner. Today, I spruced up this simple and easy fashionable outfit for winter, that looks smart enough for work, but also casual enough to wear on a weekend outing....

Hi guys! So today is a little bit of a different post from me, as since i've graduated from Uni (boo!) and started a full-time job, I've always been a little weary of what to wear, is it too bleak, or am I being too 'fashion-forward'? It's all about finding the right balance between looking professional and smart, but also adding a touch of trend and feeling comfortable in how you present yourself at work. With the winter months looming in, I wanted to obviously keep warm, but to also keep to all those points mentioned above. So, I styled together this outfit, as an example of one of my work-wear style looks....

I love Sundays. Most people think of them as the dreaded countdown to the working Monday, but I see them as a day to take it slow, indulge in some hearty good food and spend time with those you care about. Those are the best kind of days, and ones to not think too much about what you're wearing or the amount of makeup you have on. Don't get me wrong, I love fashion - but when it comes to Sundays, I tend to abide by the 3 C's. Cosy, Comfy and Casual. It's great to throw on a slouchy knit when the colder days are creeping in, especially here in the UK. I ventured down to the quayside in Newcastle for an afternoon walk and an early cheeky festive drink or two....

I find that year on year Halloween outfit choices keep getting better, seem less childish and more sexy-meets-scary. I used to have to piece together items from Amazon to Asda, yet now there's so many options out there to choose from, and I thought I would narrow it down to a couple of favourites that I've found for this year. Black and lace is a major contender, but deep reds and mesh fabrics is also a true 'Halloween' style.....

I love trying out different beauty products, seeing what works for me and (even though it can be annoying) what doesn't. However, these particular products have truly shone this past month or so, and I use them nearly every single day. So, I figured why not share my beauty favourites, and write about something a little bit different to my usual fashion / lifestyle based posts....

If there's one thing to know about me, is that I love good scrumptious food and amazingly tasting drinks. Especially if they happen to be local. I'm always at some restaurant or bar at least a few times a month, and when the lovely guys over at Restaurants of Leeds invited me and a +1 (I invited my mum, she needed a night off!) to the Malmaison Hotel to try out their restaurant, I could hardly refuse. I'm talking italian foccias, herby salmon and rum-based cocktails - after my own heart!

So, I graduated! This was probably the proudest and surrealist moment of my life so far, and Northumbria University was honestly the best experience ever. I wasn't sure whether to post about my graduation, but I feel I owe it to my audience when I kind of disappeared off the radar the past few months. Well, the past 3 years have been a massive struggle and full of stress, and in my final year I had to let my blog slide a little to bring my work up to the highest standard it could be - and for that sacrifice I actually achieved a First Class Honours (eek!) which is absolutely unbelievable for me. So, I guess it worked out in the end! Anyway, without rambling on and getting all teary-eyed and emotional, here's a few photos from my graduation, and of course, graduation outfit!

One day on my holiday I visited Symi, a tiny island just off the coast of Rhodes, nearer to Turkey. This little place was so beautiful, full of colourful villas, a harbour speckled with boats of all sizes and sponges. Lots of sponges - (the apparent birthplace of sponges haha) since the day was going to be hot and we were travelling by boat, I wanted to incorporate my outfit for style and function.....

The second day on the Island it was forecasted to be the coolest day of the week, so we decided to hit Rhodes Town. It was so beautiful, full of twisting cobbled streets and medieval architecture, definitely not one to be missed. I ate lots of food, visited cluttered markets and impressive palaces. Check out what I got up to....

June has been so hectic / life changing. I do feel very bad for neglecting my blog in the past month, but after finishing University, going on holiday and then going straight into a full-time job at a well known fashion company, life has been pretty, well, mad. However, I created a mini look-book on holiday (look out for the video on my Youtube channel soon here) which I can't wait to share with you all. For now, here is the first holiday look in Greece, Rhodes (definitely feeling the blues now!)....

I did it. I can finally say that I have officially completed 3 years of hard work at Northumbria University. It is definitely a strange feeling once you hand in that last assignment, and walk out of the building you've become to know so very well. Strangely, I felt a weird mix of emotions - not ecstatic happiness, nor deep-hitting sadness either. I felt old, yet not exactly an adult either. I felt scared entering the real world, but ready to take on a new chapter....

Taking a Break....

Hi guys.

This post, hasn't come easy to me, but I feel it's necessary. As you all may or may not know, I am currently in my final year at Uni, and I can't tell you how stressful it is. I've tried throughout the year to keep blogging, but now my final major project (Fashion Communication's equivalent of a dissertation) has come around, it's been a struggle. So rather than do half-hearted posts, I have decided to take a little break, and come back once I have finished.

Believe me when I say  that I WILL come back. I have been blogging since 2012, and I don't intend to stop doing what I love now. I promise it won't be for long - I have a around a month left. Just one month - and then I graduate and I can blog to my heart's content!

I hope you understand.

Lots of love,

Hannah xoxo

* Excuse the iPhone picture quality!*

Hi guys! I'm back with a super quick post, as this past week and a half has been so busy for me, mainly because I've had a week-long celebration, with finally turning 21! I have been very lucky with what I've got, I'm thinking of maybe doing a video for my YouTube channel - still deciding on that one. But today, I wanted to share with you guys what I wore on my birthday party, all really affordable, and I felt completely transformed from the scruffy hair bun and PJ's I had on just a mere few hours before!

Hey guys! The other week I took advantage of Newcastle's NE1 Resturant Week, so I visited Fat Hippo Underground, which is a Burger restaurant located in the city centre (there's also one tucked away in Jesmond). This place has long been on a bucket-list of must visit food places in Newcastle, and it has certainly lived up to expectations. Although there was some bumps in the road to my dining experience, the food spoke for itself....

Hi guys! I'm back - finally - with a fashion post. This winter, khaki and leather have been huge, and I just love styling them. Pretty much anyone can pull off this look, it's easy to wear and perfect for on the go. This was literally just a quick outfit for Uni the other day, which was simple and affordable - yet super on trend.

Quick update. So, it's been about November time since I last posted. This has NEVER happened before. The latest I would leave my blog untouched would probably be about 2 weeks, so I didn't expect this to happen. People would message me and companies would spam up my inbox. I felt like I dropped off the social media map. I have been blogging and making videos since 2011/2012, and since then, seen those shot to 'stardom' in that time. But I never wanted that, I just wanted to do something that made me happy. Towards the end of last year, I felt far too pressured. To look good, to wear the trendiest clothes, to constantly post filtered photos and send out a systematic tweet every 20 minutes. When in reality, (real talk) I just wanted to watch Netflix in my PJs. Then, University came in and hit me like a ton of bricks. I had to write my dissertation and create a huge magazine within the space of a month, so I literally had no time whatsoever to do anything, let alone spare a minute for my beloved blog. So for that, I just feel the need to be honest and say - I'm sorry - life happened.

My New Year's resolution is to get this blog back up again, but without making myself feel ill and stressed out. This is my final year at University, and beyond graduating I have the rest of time to focus on this - I don't intend to stop anytime soon. Watch this space.

With lots of love,

Hannah xoxo
