If there's one thing to know about me, is that I love good scrumptious food and amazingly tasting drinks. Especially if they happen to be local. I'm always at some restaurant or bar at least a few times a month, and when the lovely guys over at Restaurants of Leeds invited me and a +1 (I invited my mum, she needed a night off!) to the Malmaison Hotel to try out their restaurant, I could hardly refuse. I'm talking italian foccias, herby salmon and rum-based cocktails - after my own heart!
we started off with a summery cocktail....
Before heading down to the 'Chez Mal' restaurant...
I liked the little directional labels - nice touch!
Unfortunately we went down a little later than everyone else, so missed out on the majority of the offerings, but the rest of the food that I did try was so yummy!
This roman focaccia was to absolutely die for....
With a side of juicy salmon, asparagus, cheese and a classic chocolate mousse. My ultimate favourite was the dessert (obviously).
Overall? I would rate the food and drinks a modest 8/10, based on taste, display and restaurant environment!
Have you ever been to the Malmaison Hotel resturant?
Can you recommend a place in Leeds?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
