Floral embroidery? It has pretty much been hanging seductively in every single high-street shop that I happen to stumble across lately. From denim frayed boyfriend jeans with a dash of embroidery on the pocket lining, to floral embroidered loafers, just waiting to be tried on. However, I was yet to spot something from the 'blooming' trend (see what I did there) that I really quite liked and struck a chord, until I came across this black mesh-embroidered overlay dress from Zara....
The mesh / tulle dress itself is actually completely see-through underneath, and doesn't have an underlay - some people have therefore just teamed it with a pair of jeans and a top. However, I wanted to really utilise the split leg hem feature and just parade it as a dress - the way it should be. So, I picked up a plain black midi dress from none other than H&M, in the sale, for just £4! The Zara dress is currently £19.99, see here.
Below is a close-up shot detailing of the embroidery, I actually really like the colours of the threading that were used for this, it doesn't look too extravagant or vivid - a perfect backdrop against the black.
These sunglasses are a new top favourite of mine! For me, they are the perfect cat eye shape, not too oversized and, of course, fully shade proof. They're from Zara as well, and are part of their new SS17 arrivals. The sunglasses retail for around £17.99 (see here).
This cute little black box bag is from Primark, for just £5. It features an adjustable strap and silver metal envelope detailing on the front.
My 'H' gold/ black choker is from Primark, for just £2. Primark are absolutely brilliant for their choker selections lately in all different styles - I would highly recommend browsing their jewellery section right now, as they are KILLING IT.
Finally, the black chelsea boots are from New Look, which are currently on sale! See here.
What do you think to this oufit?
Would you wear it?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
