I can finally say it - I have worked with Jack Wills on their latest SS17 Swimwear collection. Of course, I jumped at the chance when the opportunity presented itself to promote their range, not only for my love of fashion, but for the strong and proud British heritage that the brand represents. Their main 'theme' for this year is tropical and nautical prints, the spirit of seeking adventure and delving into the unknown....
I chose this beautiful nautical navy/white striped Formby swimming costume (see here). It felt very 1950's to me, with the flattering high neck, slimming pattern and cut out back with the cute tie at the nape of the neck. Yes, this swimsuit is very pretty - but in reality - it made me feel comfortable in my own skin. There's not much swimwear on the market that can deliver that feeling, and that in itself is priceless.
It can also be easily styled up to go on the beach, I just selected some light-denim shorts from my wardrobe. I really feel that this look is typical British seaside, and really reflects the Jack Wills values.
My dog Luna, of course wanted some of the limelight!
I can't seem to explain the way this makes my body look better - the way it sculpts to my skin doesn't look clingy or unflattering, it shapes and holds in all the right places.
The cut out back is simple but beautiful....
The seaside water in the UK was a little cold!
I also paired the swimming costume with a stunning white, maxi lace kimono from River Island (not currently available online) which I just felt went perfectly with it.
