It's coming towards the end of September - already! As the days begin to grow colder and brisker, It feels like that time of year for a good wardrobe refresh and truly kickstart the season ahead. I'm definitely one to recycle clothing and keep wearing certain items loads if they are investment worthy and timeless pieces. To me, this is the perfect way to nail your own Autumn transitional style, so I thought I would share some of those classic pieces with you...

Personally, I like to get around 5 pieces that I know I can team with different outfits and act as one of those key wardrobe pieces that you can easily throw on....

Firstly? The trench coat - I love mine, it was bought a few years ago from River Island (one of those investment pieces I'm talking about) they're timeless and can be so easily chucked on with pretty much anything.

Second - The statement dress. I saw this beautiful floral number in Zara last week and it just struck a chord. With a high neck, contrasting piping and muted tones, it was the perfect choice to transition from sundresses and culottes.

Next? The trendy handbag. I've loved this bag for quite a few months now that I purchased over the Summer (which I'm sure you've probably seen me rave about before) from Mango. It's something that can be so easily worn time and time again, taking you from day to night.

Tights, tights, tights! Of course, these are always a key piece to wear as the days get warmer. You can still wear dresses, just add the trusty tights! These are from M&S which do cost a little more, however they are of a much softer fabric and don't cause an allergic reaction on my skin, which tends to happen with cheaper brands.

Classic black boots. Every single Autumn/Winter I make sure I have a pair of classic black boots to take me through those cold days. The ones that I'm wearing in these photos are from Deichmann (last season) but there's so many good ones out there at the minute that I'm spoilt for choice to purchase a new pair!

What do you think to the key autumnal pieces?
Would you wear any of them? What are your go-to transitional pieces?
As always, let me know!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo
