I never thought that a purple shampoo would make such a massive difference to my hair. Those with blonde coloured locks know how difficult it is to upkeep the bright light colour and banish yellow brassy tones. Trust me, when I say I've tried every brand hanging down Boots' haircare aisle that you can think of! Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be blinding blonde without it looking natural, but I just hate it when the colour is dull and lifeless. Besides from blogging, I actually work in the beauty business and I know what good hair looks like! This, my friends, is where Neal and Wolf, a luxury hair-care brand comes in....

I was kindly sent the Neal & Wolf Purple Brightening Shampoo & Conditioner.

First of all, straight away on the bottle I read that it's sulphate free (goodbye frizz) paraben free AND most importantly cruelty free. Great ethos and selling points for me personally, knowing that I can get smooth & straight hair without any negative connotations. Secondly? That packaging is fabulous - the pop-out purple colour with subtle embossing just shouts premium and it's definitely something I would see sitting in a professional salon's display.

This is my hair before I jumped in the shower, while I was staying in a hotel in London over the weekend. As you can see, it's dull, very brassy and in all honesty slightly greasy - which isn't a great look. I wanted to look my best while I was away, so I packed these shiny new bottles with me in the hope that it would breathe some life into my hair....

View from the back...

I hopped in the luxe marble - very instagrammable - power shower, and dunked my head in the purple lather, concentrating on massaging it in at the roots, as my ends were still relatively light from my last trip to the hairdressers....

It was super easy to run through my hair and wash out - plus it smells absolutely amazing too, which is always a bonus!

Ta-dah! Here are the final results after blow-drying my hair straight and styling with added volume, for an everyday look. My hair looked visibly glossier, shinier and it neutralised the majority of brassy tones after just one wash. Overall? I'm seriously impressed with the results, it lived up to expectations and I'll be sure to be using it at least once a week from now on.

What do you think to the colour change?
Would you use this brand?
As always, I'd love to know!
Lots of love,
Hannah xoxo
